Frequently Asked Questions

I’ve never played Pickleball before but would like to learn. Will there be instructors?

We will host regular beginner clinics, for those who are new to Pickleball, as well as continuing instruction for more experienced players.

Do I have to bring my own equipment?

While most people will bring their own equipment, including paddles and balls, we understand that new players may not yet have everything they need. For those players, we will have paddles and balls available to rent for a nominal fee.

Will I be playing with players who are way above or below my level?

Whether an event is open to all or for specific player levels, our programming will always be clearly labeled so you will always know what to expect when you show up. If you reserve private court time, you can obviously play with whomever you choose.

Will I have to wait for a court at Erie Pickleball?

You will never have to show up at Erie Pickleball and hope that you can get court time. Through our Court Reserve app, you will sign up for programs or reserve private court time in advance. No more waiting all day or arguing with other players to get on the court.

What level players can play at Erie Pickleball?

We welcome all players, from brand-new beginners up to top level tournament players. The greatest thing about Pickleball is that it is fun for people of all ages, skill, and experience levels. We strive to create an encouraging atmosphere for all Pickleball players.

Do I need to be a member to play at Erie Pickleball?

No. All Pickleball players are welcome at Erie Pickleball. Memberships will be available and carry certain benefits such as priority in signing up for programs and court time as well as reduced court fees and pro shop discounts. If you are someone who plays several times a week a membership will be worthwhile but is NOT required.

What other activities or sports are played at Erie Pickleball?

We are completely dedicated to serving the pickleball players of northeast Ohio. You will not see any Basketball, Tennis, or Volleyball lines on our courts, you will not see trampolines or ninja warrior courses, and you will not see any temporary nets. Our facility is for Pickleball only.
